Senior Trial Attorney

Brian Park Esq.

Brian Park is the Senior Trial Attorney of NSJ LAW GROUP LTD.  He has over 15 years of experience as a civil litigator and has experience litigating myriad cases ranging from Labor & Employment, Wage & Hour, Premise Liability, catastrophic Personal Injury, Trust Litigation, Commercial law, and Business Disputes. Mr. Park consistently has achieved favorable and, more importantly, equitable results for his clients in trial and prelitigation: not to mention, recovering millions for his clients.

Mr. Park is personally involved in every aspect of the cases that he handles, from inception to trial, as lead trial counsel. With well-developed legal knowledge, discernment of nuances, while maintaining equanimity, he is able to strategize and tailor each matter to the special needs and goals of the clients.  

Mr. Park attended University of California, Santa Cruz and received his B.A. in Psychology, and M.A. in Human Resources Design/Organizational Behavior from Claremont Graduate University.  He then received his J.D. from Whittier Law School, where he served as the Executive Editor of Law Review, was a member of the Moot Court Honor’s Board where he competed in many moot court competitions and achieved favorable results for his alma mater.  Mr. Park was on the Dean’s and Honor Roll throughout his law school career and was the recipient of Minority Scholarship, Editor’s Scholarship, Dean’s Merit Scholarship, and was the recipient of CALI Award as Most Outstanding Law Review Candidate.  As a Law Review candidate, his article (case-note) was selected and published in the Whittier Law Review Journal.  Mr. Park graduated with honors – Cum Laude – at the top 20% of his class.  During his law school career, he also externed with Orange County Public Defender’s Office, and served as aJudicial Extern for Justice William F. Rylaarsdam’s Chamber (author of California Practice Guide: Civil Procedure Before Trial) for the California Court of Appeal, 4th District, Division 3.

Mr. Park then attended Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where he received his LLM in Tax Law.  He is a member of National Institute of Trial Attorneys, and successfully completed its intensive one-week long Trial Skills and same for Deposition Skills Programs.  

Mr. Park has worked for many notable firms in Los Angeles, as litigation attorney, and as of counsel on various matters.  He also worked as a General Counsel for a Fortune 500 Company with over 50,000 employees, and, as course, understands in depth the nuances of Employer-Employee relationships and its pitfalls.  

Mr. Park has also worked in South Korea, as a Korean Contract Attorney personally assisting partners of one of the largest US firms with the depositions of key witnesses for the six month duration involving a notable international patent infringement case between a South Korean conglomerate and a US tech giant.

Mr. Park is licensed to practice law before all courts in the State of California and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.

Managing Attorney

Thomas Yoo, Esq.
 

Thomas Yoo is the managing attorney of NSJ LAW GROUP LTD. His practice focuses on personal injury. He has extensive experience with resolving injury claims to obtain justice for his clients. He has represented injured and wronged individuals resulting in millions of dollars in gross recovery.

Mr. Yoo manages cases from inception to resolution while laying the foundation and engaging in trial preparation for each case. His experience includes achieving settlements on difficult claims with tough liability issues by thoroughly investigating all strengths and weaknesses and strategically advancing legal analyses. He has handled a wide array of personal injury cases, including car accidents, trucking accidents, pedestrian accidents, slip and fall accidents, and dog bites.

Mr. Yoo attended the Pennsylvania State University and received his B.S. in Actuarial Science from the Smeal College of Business. Prior to entering law school, he began his career at Marsh & McLennan Companies during his undergraduate studies and then went on to work at an actuarial consulting firm. He then received his J.D. from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles. During law school, he worked as a law clerk at the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office in the Major Fraud Division. He also received the CALI Award for Excellence (highest grade in class) in Secured Transactions and won first place in California Bar Association Section of Business Committee on Insolvency's annual bankruptcy writing competition. Further, he was recognized as a Semi-finalist at Southwestern Law School’s Intramural Negotiations Competition.

Mr. Yoo is licensed to practice law before all courts in the State of California and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
